For Talia and Ryan, the most important thing about the wedding day was to experience the ceremony itself. Their wedding day had to pivot drastically from their original plan, but they remained steadfast in their ultimate goal: they wanted to get married, on their original date, even if it meant that they would have to have a much smaller wedding. Theirs was the first wedding that I photographed in the 2020 Covid season, and I’m so glad that it was. They reminded me what’s most important about the wedding day, that this is all about love and commitment, not a party and a dance floor. I have so much respect and admiration for the way that they planned and executed this perfect day.

They married at their church, Saint Mary’s in Newport, Rhode Island. The small reception after the wedding was at La Forge Restaurant at the Tennis Hall of Fame, and it was the intimate, love filled vision that they had wanted all along.
