In early July Lauren and Dave met me in my home town of Newport, Rhode Island. We decided to meet up at Forty Steps and stroll Cliff Walk together, followed by a quick afternoon trip to Second Beach.

Newport was their first vacation together a few summers ago, and the city has since become very special to them. They returned again last summer to “The City by The Sea” and went for a foggy walk on Cliff Walk, when he proposed! She had a feeling that the proposal was coming: they went to Newport with their future wedding in mind, but it was still a complete surprise when he pulled out the ring!

It seemed fitting that we return to this special place for their engagement photos. Their wedding at Castle Hill this summer is right around the corner, and I can’t wait!
