FAQ

Q: What sets you apart from other photographers?

A: I take all of my photos in intimate, relaxed settings and try to use natural lighting as often as possible to achieve those classic, romantic images that we all love.  My sessions are candid, natural, and fun!

Additionally, I want to be your friend and resource in your wedding planning process: I’d love to help you figure out what the perfect wedding day timeline looks like, how to organize your family for photos, and how to make sure that your photos are totally Pinterest worthy!

Q: I’m super camera shy… Can I still get great photos?

A: Yes of course! I’m gonna be real with you for a second: I have never met a couple who told me they just “love” getting their photo taken and showed up for a photo shoot feeling 100% confident.

It can feel really daunting to have your photo taken for the first time, but I don’t want you to worry about all that. It’s my job to keep it relaxed and fun, and to make you look your best. If you book with me, I’ll send you a bunch of tips and tricks to help make your shoot looks magazine ready!

Q: Will we get the print release to our photos after the wedding?

A: Yes! Upon receiving your images you will also get a full print release. You will have access to high resolution images on your own personal online gallery.

Q: How many photographers will be at our wedding?

A:  Most of my wedding packages come with one photographer, although I highly recommend having a second photographer if you have a wedding with more than 100 people, or if candid images are very important to you.

Q: I see that all packages all come with engagement sessions. Will you give me a discount if we don’t do one?

A: The short answer here is “no”. All of my packages include an engagement session at no additional cost: consider it my gift to you! I want to get to know you as a couple before the wedding day, and doing a mini session is a great way to achieve this. This short one hour session will also give you some practice in front of the camera. For more information about engagement sessions please contact me

Q: Do you photograph elopements?

A: Of  course! Depending on availability and the number of hours that you have set aside for photography, I have special rates for elopements.

Q: What if my event goes over our contracted time?

A: I understand that events don’t always go as planned. If your contracted time is up but your event is still underway I am happy to stay. At the end of your contracted time I will touch base to see if you would like to extend your time. If so, I will charge your contracted rate and round to the next half hour.

Q: We’re having a destination wedding, do you travel?

A: Yes! I love destination weddings and have been lucky enough to travel all over the US and even in Europe as a wedding photographer. Send me some more information on your wedding plans and we will create a custom collection to suit your needs.

Q: How do we reserve our wedding date?

A: I require a 50% retainer and signed contract to secure your date on my calendar.  The remaining balance is due two weeks prior to your wedding.

Q: Do I have to order prints through you?

A: I highly recommend  ordering prints through professional vendors and I make that process easy by offering professional print fulfillment through my website.  However, it is not required  that you order prints through me.

Q: How soon do we receive our images?

A: Your full gallery is typically ready within 6-8 weeks. I will also provide you with a few sneak peek images within 24 hours of your wedding so that you have immediate access to professional images for social media, and to share at the morning after brunch!

Q: How many photos should we expect?

A: I don’t guarantee a set number of photos because every wedding is different. However, I can tell you that I average around 100 images per hour.
